Aah! Don't all of us just LOVE falling sick? No, don't get me wrong, I'm not some twisted person who derives pleasure from being unwell, but for a while atleast, isn't it kinda fun? I mean, haven't we all at some point or other, faked..or maybe exaggerated our illnesses in order to bunk school when we were kids?
I just fell really really ill this week, so was thinking about this. So i compiled a whole list of Pros & Cons of falling sick...:)...[that's what you do when you're bored..:D ]
I'll start with the PROS first-
1. You can laze around...yay! :D
2. You get royally pampered, and short of having a butler wait on you hand and foot, all your little whims and fancies are (mostly) taken care of....this is a BIG pro!
3. You can think up of blog entries when there's nothing else to do...*wink, wink!*
4. Um...You get to take an off from school/college! i can't say work, cuz you have limited scope of holidays, and then there are a 100 repercussions...like worrying abt how to get the work done on time....
5. You can watch all the tv you want, read all the books u want to, basically have a blast..:)
6. You can sleep all day if you want, n no one can say anything!!! :D
7. You get Chicken Soup, n what not...:D
Now, for the CONS-
1. Well, there's only SO MUCH lazing around that you can do, and after a point, you start getting bored....and don't forget, ou're sick, so u have your limitations.
2. When you start reading a book, etc....or even watchin tv...people keep coming n telling you to 'GO TO SLEEP'...now this would be a boon for anyone who loves sleepin more than half tha day, but for the rest of us, seriously, how much can you sleep??...I mean, what if u just CAN NOT fall asleep??!!...*sigh*....
3. If you're REALLY sick, you just sorta lose the will to do anything....:(....
4. Like right now, my cold is on again, n it feels TERRIBLE!!!...and you eyes get all dry and stuff, n u need tissues like ALL-the-freakin-time, n u basically end up sayin things like -"can u please just cut off my nose?" to your mom, out of Sheer Irritation, n Inconvenience.
Anyway, I'll add more later. Gtg now.
p.s- ooh! mom just gave me chicken soup. :)....

'Hippo'-crite!!!
Ok, so this is something I wrote on 17/03/2010. Just got a lil late in putting it up. So here goes-
Some people just don't let others be. I mean, they poke their (big fat) noses into everything. They ask incessant questions about things that concern them in no way. At all.
They give their "high" opinion when & where it is neither asked for, nor needed.
They butt into conversations that do not involve them. They crack jokes at other peoples' expense. They derive joy from bringing others down.
Such people are also very hypocritical. They pass judgement on other people, but when it comes to themselves, they have double standards like nobody's business.
They pass comments on others' attire, accent, pronunciation, beliefs, actions, when they themselves are nothing to write home about.
Their opinions are more often than not, based on half-baked information.
Such people never fail to irk me, and I have the deepest loathing for them.

My Name Is Natasha, and I Love SRK!
12 Feb '10
Till last night, i was glad i wasn't in Mumbai.Today, I wish I was. :) My Name Is Khan released today, and yes it DID release in Mumbai, thank heavens! I wish i was in Mumbai, so that I too could stand by SRK. Like all those brave people out there.
I am so happy today. The only time I watch the News is when SRK's on it. ;D hehe...and he's been all over the news the past week, and especially today.
I love his interviews, they're the best! He's so real, and charming and funny and witty. And his one-liners are awesome! Anyway, it was so nice to see SRK's fans in Germany...Berlin to be exact!
I'm gushing now...and so was he!! (Check out his tweets...they're awesome btw) :D :D ;D
*Noor-E-Khuda*
[jus came on channel [v]]
i was teary eyed on so many occasions today!! *sigh*
:'( :) *wipes off a tear* lol
(i love the way he says 'i'm smart' in the promo! :) )
im so obsessed. [its a bad thing.
[Or Not!! :D
I'm so glad the Shiv Sena was shown what their worth is today. But they're such sore losers!
They're not willing to admit they've been defeated. (By SRK...and also by the people of Mumbai...and India!)
Today was especially revelating [check UrbanDictionary] because i discovered just how many fans SRK has and what the guys impact is. And I'm very happy/pleased that the film is doing well.

P.S- As you can see, i wrote this little piece back when MNIK released, on 12th Feb. I was gonna post it on my blog, just never got around to doing it. Guess it took longer than i'd thought...hehe..:)
Don't mind my SRK Obsession! lol...:)

I Hate Luv Stories
(No, I (emphasis on) don't)
I sincerely doubt Sonam Kapoor's Acting Prowess in I Hate Luv Stories. Parts of the trailer are nice. (Like Imran Khan looks cute in a few scenes) Some parts i don't like. Like her mushy-mooning-swooning parts. lol. I like the beginning. But not the book she's reading- Erich Segal- Love Story. Like, Yuck. :P. (i Haven't read it thoh...seen parts of the movie. mush galore. :) ) I don't see the point of the latter half of the trailer. Just them dancing, etc in scenic locales.... I think they're ADs in the film, which is kinda cool! :D i wud like to be an AD for a movie...:)...i know its hard work n all that, but i still think it would be fun. Plus, Film-making fascinated me....:) :) :)

Ozymandias....."The lone and level sands stretch far away"
OZYMANDIAS
I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away
- P.B. SHELLEY
I recently had a Reading Comprehension class in the CAT coaching institute i go to, and this poem was mentioned in a passage. The name was familiar, but it didnt strike me at first. After a while though, when we were discussing the passage, I suddenly remembered doing this in English class in 9th or something. Got nostalgic. Goolgled it. It's quite a nice poem. :) And very profound too. As well as a little ominous, but i think it's more of how time just goes on and on and on, its eternal, but lives are transient. So this statue...with just the legs remaining...in the desert is eternal, and has witnessed civilisations live and die. I donno, the image this poem creates in my mind is very...well...profound? Sorry, I'm at a loss for words. Lol. :D :)
P.S- someone is telling me that i'm just copying poems n posting them on my blog, but tis not like im Taking CREDIT for them or anything...They're just poems i really like, n id like to share them with the world...:)

The Catcher in the Rye
I recently read The Catcher in The Rye by J.D Salinger (I really liked it btw), and so it thought i should read the poem that has inspired the title as well. So i googled it, and found out its a poem about a woman who has an extra-marital affair- metaphorically- "rye". So here goes-
Coming Through The Rye
Robert Burns
Coming Through The Rye
Coming thro' the rye, poor body,
Coming thro' the rye,
She draiglet a' her petticoatie
Coming thro' the rye.
O, Jenny's a' wat, poor body;
Jenny's seldom dry;
She draiglet a' her petticoatie
Coming thro' the rye.
Gin a body meet a body
Coming thro' the rye,
Gin a body kiss a body—
Need a body cry?
Gin a body meet a body
Coming thro' the glen,
Gin a body kiss a body—
Need the warld ken?
Robert Burns

Life.
Life is so Complicated. So Unpredictable. So Temporary. So Dynamic. Nothing Lasts Forever. Things Come and Go. People Change. Situations Change. And you cant do Anything about it. You Go With The Flow. You learn to Live and Laugh along with it. You Just Exist alongside. And then One Day, you might just Conquer It. And Emerge Victorious. Or Die Trying. :)
